More Than Just A Casino, This Property Offers Top-Notch Restaurants, Spa And Entertainment All Within Two Hours From New York City

Following

The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City is often referred to as the Las Vegas of the East Coast. It’s located two hours from New York City in the Marina District of Atlantic City. And like Las Vegas, there’s plenty more than just gambling. The Borgata is a large property with 2,000 rooms and suites—each one with a view of either marshes and marina; the boardwalk; or the skyline. But for the ultimate luxurious experience stay at The Water Club, an upscale boutique property within the larger resort. It’s just steps away from all the entertainment, nightlife and restaurants of the main hotel, but in an upscale, tranquil setting (and with upgraded amenities).

The Food and Wine Scene

There are 14 different dining options ranging from fine dining to fast and casual.

American Bar & Grille is the newest restaurant to open at the Borgata and it has quickly become a fan favorite. Top menu options include the bigeye tuna crudo; the 16-ounce New York strip steak served with Argentinian chimichurri; the double-cut pork chop and the local New Jersey fluke, which is served with wild mushrooms and a truffle leek sauce. The menu focuses on produce that’s in season.

Those that enjoy Japanese cuisine can sample sushi rolls, sashimi and a nice selection of sake at Izakaya restaurant. Fan favorites include the Wagyu beef sliders and scallop sashimi.

Another popular restaurant is Angeline, which focuses on Greek and Italian flavors including freshly-made pasta.

The classic Old Homestead steak house has an impressive array of cuts and chops including prime rib, filet mignon and rack of lamb.

There are also plenty of eateries if you’re looking for a quick or casual meal. These include

The Marketplace Eatery, N.O.W and Borgata Beer Garden.

If you’re looking to grab a drink, there are plenty of options, including the Gypsy Bar which has over 100 different types of tequila, as well as live music. Level One Cocktail Bar & Lounge is Borgata's intimate venue for high-end gaming and is ideal for groups. The Long Bar is a great option for a pre-dinner drink, while B Bar is centrally located right in the middle of the action across from the main cashier. BetMGM Sportsbook & Bar is the spot for all things sports—it has a 40-foot-wide LED video wall as well as over 20 craft beers.

The Spa

Like the restaurant scene, the spa scene alone makes the property well worth a visit. There are two spas—Spa Toccare in the Borgata and the Immersion Spa in the Water Club.

Spa Toccare offers a variety of facials, massages, and waxings as well as signature treatments including the Espresso Limòn Slimming Wrap.

The Immersion Spa is located on the 32nd floor and has amazing views of Atlantic City from its two-story facility. It also has a lap pool and gym. The Moor Mud Body Float is one of the signature therapies. There are a variety of massages, wraps, body treatments and facials—all of which can be customized.

The Casino and Entertainment

Borgata’s casino spans 160,000 square feet. It has plenty of table games (more than 175) including roulette, blackjack, poker, craps, and baccarat. It also has over 2,500 slot machines.

When it comes to music and entertainment there’s plenty to choose from. Recent performances include Chelsea Handler, Bill Maher, Dancing with the Stars, Boyz II Men, Steve Martin and Martin Short.
