Thai Square Restaurant offers something rather unique to the food and drink scene - its ceiling.

Many of its sites across the South East, including Richmond and Windsor, possess the beautiful floral showpiece.

Diners can look up at the stunning display of dainty white flowers whilst tucking into an authentic Thai meal presented just as elegantly as the surroundings.

Across all branches, the chefs prepare a wide range of traditional Thai dishes with care and passion to provide guests with a genuine taste of Thailand.

From coconut soup and papaya salad to prawn stir fry and chicken curry, the huge menu caters for all spice levels, veggies and those who avoid gluten and dairy.

Isn't it gorgeous?

What to expect:

Located literally a stone's throw away from Windsor Castle, the Windsor site is a true romantic hotspot.

All loved up, my fiancé and I popped over to the restaurant to have a look around, meet the staff and sample some of the food.

We took a delightful table for two underneath the gorgeous blossom centrepiece and picked a few dishes to try.

This time last year we were travelling around Thailand so we were familiar with the lingo and couldn't wait to be transported back to sunnier climes.

Som Tum (£8.25)

This is a famous Thai salad and it was just as fresh, exotic and juicy as I remembered.

It was made up of shredded green papaya, carrot, long beans and cherry tomatoes with chillies, lime, garlic and cashew nuts.

Chu Chi Goong (£13.95)

The size of the butterflied jumbo prawns were extraordinary and as a huge shellfish fan I was very impressed.

Cooked in special red curry sauce and aromatic Thai herbs and spices it had a subtle and moreish kick.

Gang Panang (£8.95) with sticky rice (£2.95)

When we were in Koh Phangan last winter we learnt how to make this curry at a cookery class and it was just as authentic.

It's one of the nation's most celebrated dish and it really showcases some of the best bits in Thai cooking.

The spicy paste was cooked in coconut milk and shredded lime leaves creating a rich, creamy and tropical sensation in your mouth.

With a choice of chicken, beef or prawn, we opted for chicken and it was soft, moist and utterly delicious.

In fact our whole experience of Thai Square Restaurant was an memorable, appetizing one.
