Arrest made in 2021 Upstate murder, second suspect believed to have fled country with child
A major breakthrough has been made in the investigation of a 2021 Upstate murder. Officers announced one suspect has been arrested while another may have fled the country with a 4-year-old child.
Shortly after midnight on Aug. 18, 2021, officers with the Lyman Police Department responded to a shooting at a home on Grover Drive in the Lyman Farms subdivision.

Upon arrival, officers found 29-year-old Connor Ethan Lloyd in the driveway suffering a gunshot wound.
Lloyd was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
On Friday, March 28, 2025, officers announced the arrest of 64-year-old Cynthia Wilson of Seneca in connection to the shooting.
Wilson was charged with the following:
- Accessory before the fact of murder
- Accessory after the fact of murder
- Conspiracy to commit murder
Wilson was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
Lyman police said warrants have been issued for 33-year-old Kendra Leigh Wilson of Seneca for the following charges:
- Accessory before the fact of murder
- Accessory after the fact of murder
- Conspiracy to commit murder
The Lyman Police Department is working with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, U.S. Marshal's Service, and Interpol to find and extradite Kendra who is believed to have fled the country with a 4-year-old.
This investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are forthcoming.
