Long-standing popular Asian restaurant in Glasgow branded ‘best there is’ has fans ‘buzzing’ with new location

A LONG-standing popular Asian restaurant is set to open a brand-new location - and fans are loving it.

I-Chai is a popular Chinese restaurant and takeaway that has been branded as "the best there is" by food lovers.

The chain currently has three branches across Scotland - one fine-dining restaurant in Anniesland which has an 'express' takeaway venue next to it, and another 'express' branch in Bishopbriggs.

But now bosses have revealed that it is set to open another sit-in restaurant in the coming weeks.

The new diner will open on Auchinairn Road in Bishopbriggs next to its current takeaway eatery.

Staff took to social media over the weekend to share the exciting news with followers.

While don't have an exact opening date yet, they urged fans to "keep an eye out" for more details to come.

The post on Facebook said: "The sign is up, the excitement is real!

"Our second I-Chai restaurant is taking shape right next to one of our existing takeaways on Auchinairn Road in Bishopbriggs.

"With the new sign installed recently and now in plain sight, we thought it would be a good time to briefly announce this great news!

"More info to come soon in the lead-up to the big opening, so make sure you keep an eye out".

Many have already flocked to the comments to share their delight at the news.

I-Chai first opened in the West End of Glasgow back in 2005 and has since gone on to be honoured with a "Best Eatery" award over the last 20 years.

Visitors can choose from a huge menu that includes traditional Chinese dishes as well as a variety of authentic Asian cuisines, including Thai and Japanese.

The team also have a range of menus on offer, from the set dinners - which are dishes selected by the chefs - to a weekend brunch, unlimited tapas and a la carte.

There is also an incredible lunch menu on offer for those who want to grab something quick.
