As Donald Trump is busy coming in and out of court, all eyes were on Pennsylvania on Tuesday, as the key state was to decide the fate of the November United States elections, Axios reported.

While the former president and Joe Biden have already been elected as their party’s presidential candidates, they have both won the Republican and Democratic primaries in Pennsylvania, gaining even more votes.

Trump, who was projected to win the Grand Old Party’s (GOP) primary, clinched 84% of the votes out of the 92% that voted.

Republican Nikki Haley, who has suspended her presidential candidate, also received 17% of the of the votes.

Trump currently faces 34 felony counts in his New York criminal case and is largely campaigning from the courtroom as the trial plays out in the next couple of days.

He is the first former president in US history to face a criminal trial.

Due to the charges, many staunch Republican supporters refused to vote for him.

Terry Bimle from Pennsylvania said, "I'm a pretty strong Republican, but it’s hard to support Mr. Trump." Instead, he chose to vote for Haley.

In last month’s Franklin & Marshall Poll, 48% of voters said Trump was better able to handle the economy, compared to 39% for Biden.
