Treat Yourself With Miami's Spa And Spice Deals: 2022 Edition

Following

Every year once it hits August in Miami, you can’t go more than a few steps without hearing someone mention how hot and humid it is, which honestly makes it tough to want to leave the house — but thanks to the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) there are two incredible sets of deals that visitors and locals can take advantage of making Miami summers not only bearable, but also some of the best months of the year.

As an attempt to stimulate the economy, the GMCVB hosts the Miami Temptations Programs throughout the year that feature different themed deals each month. During the summer, you’ll find Miami Spa Months in July and August where you can indulge in pampering and relaxation with treatments as low as $109 at some of the best spas in the city, plus access to amenities at some pretty top tier hotels. Then there’s Miami Spice Restaurant Months where you can dive into incredible three-course menus (for lunch and brunch at $28 and dinner for $45 or $60) at tons of Miami’s most coveted restaurants during August and September — this year there are 244 restaurants participating.

If you’ve done the math already, that means during August you can treat yourself to a day at the spa and a killer dinner for under $200. It’s a tough deal to beat. With that being said, not all of the menus are created equally and it’s possible to visit one and feel like you’re not getting much of a value, so in order to avoid that here are some of the best places to take advantage of both Spa & Spice during the month of August.

Carillon Miami Wellness Resort

When looking for spa options in Miami, The Spa at Carillon should be an absolute no brainer. At a whooping 70,000 square feet, it’s the largest spa on the eastern seaboard and features the most impressive array of amenities available for its guests. Your visit starts with a tour of the facilities featuring sound-enhanced showers, foot baths, an igloo shower, a crystal steam room, a finnish spa, a vitality tub, an herbal laconium, pool access, a gym, and even a rock climbing wall for those who want to be extra active. As far as treatments go, the Miami Spa Month menu includes both facial and massage options. Post-pamper you’re bound to be hungry, so head over to The Strand for ocean views and delicious food. Miami Spice menu options feature a strawberry & burratina, Mediterranean branzino, and a pistachio crusted beef tagliata — and more.

InterContinental Miami

Located in the heart of downtown Miami, this hotel is often overlooked by locals and that’s a shame because it’s definitely one worth visiting, especially when it comes to both the mySpa and Pan-Latin steakhouse, Toro Toro. The spa, while not one of the largest we’ve seen, instantly promotes relaxation upon arrival with welcome bubbles and friendly staff. If you’re looking for the ultimate melt-your-cares-away treatment opt for the MyMassage with hot stones, aromatherapy, and a scalp & Swedish massage. It’s the whole package and you’ll leave feeling more relaxed than you could imagine. But don’t relax so much that you forget your dinner reservation downstairs where you can feast on Mexican chipotle bbq pork ribs, flat iron yuzu flank steak, and the La Bomba signature dessert. Sure there’s an upcharge on the dessert, but we swear it’s worth it.

Eden Roc Miami Beach

Everyone knows being near the ocean has almost an instant ability to calm you down, but did you know that Eden Roc Miami Beach is the closest property on Miami Beach to the actual ocean water? That fun fact makes it easy to reason that treating yourself to a day on property is probably a really good idea. At the Esencia Wellness spa, guests are welcomed into an expansive spa with whirlpools, plunge pools, saunas, and hydro-experience and aromatherapy showers. Once you’re ready for your treatment you will wait in the relaxation lounge featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with beautiful views of the resort and the ocean. The menu includes massages, facials, haircuts, and more — but the crème de la crème of the treatments is the Nobu Nagomi Summer Ritual that for $199 takes place over a 110 minutes with aromatherapy, a body polish, a facial, and a Swedish massage that all begins with a guided meditation custom to your needs. With both a Miami Spice lunch and dinner option, the onsite Ocean Social, is a perfect spot to nurious your body before or after your treatment. Enjoy coconut Key West shrimp ceviche, pork carnitas, seafood risotto, and more.

Mondrian South Beach

Spend the day on West Avenue at the stunning Mondrian South Beach with sweeping bay views. Inside the 4,100 square foot Spa at Baia Beach Club you’ll have access to discounted valet and the saunas. Choose from an After Sun CBD massage, a Baia Body Polish (that will leave your skin feeling like you’re a newborn), and a custom aromatherapy facial treatment using all natural, organic products. After your treatment you can sit back and enjoy the sunset over Miami’s skyline while grabbing dinner at Baia Beach Club featuring dishes like charred octopus, pasta alla boscaiola, and coppa Catalina. If that menu doesn’t do it for you, consider popping over to the nearby Orilla Bar & Grill where you’ll find incredible Argentinian dishes cooked in an open kitchen using a Josper charcoal grill with two menu options — either $45 or $60. Here, menu highlights include mollejas, lamb chops, grilled prawns, and a baked Alaska served tableside.

JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa

The JW Marriott Miami Turnberry’s âme Spa & Wellness Collective is always a winner with or without Miami Spa Month deals as they have a wide variety of spa day offerings from massages to facials, and wellness treatments — plus they’ve got some of the most attentive staff you’ll find in a Miami spa. Offered services during Spa Month include a range of sugar scrubs paired with full body massages, electro-sound lymphatic treatment by Elaine, and a fire & ice detox. Use the aroma therapy music and steam room, relax in the salt room, or lay out by the hotel’s adults-only Cascata pool before or after your treatment. Once you’re relaxed and feeling pampered head over to Bourbon Steak where the meal begins with the infamous Michael Mina french fry trio before you work your way through a three-course menu featuring hamachi crudo, seared Hudson Valley foie gras, NY strip, and a delightful chocolate hazelnut tart — just to name a few.

Fontainebleau Miami Beach

Perhaps one of Miami’s most iconic hotels, Fontainebleau Miami Beach’s Lapis Spa is one of the best when it comes to amenities. Upon booking a collagen facial from the Miami Spa Month menu, guests will have access to the Ritual Water Journeys which include an Immersion Mineral Jet Bath, Bleau Rain Room, Eucalyptus Infusion, Essence Mineral Co-Ed Pool, a 5,800-square-foot gym overlooking the ocean and pools and access to the entire Fontainebleau poolscape, featuring 11 pools and the Atlantic Ocean. There’s not much better than sipping on a cocktail out of a pineapple while relaxing by the pool post-treatment. After you’ve wrapped up at the spa, Miami Spice dinner options are nearly limitless with Hakkasan and StripSteak by Michael Mina all participating. These menus are some of the best offered during the GMCVB program.

The Setai Miami Beach

You don’t have to have celebrity status to afford to treat yourself to a day at South Beach’s Setai. With Spa Month deals available every day of the week you can start your day at Valmont for The Spa at The Setai which features four private spa suites with enough room for up to two guests. Enjoy ocean and pool views, a private bath and steam room, and choose from a custom facial, full-body skin polish, ‘Triple Fix’ treatment with facial cleanse, foot and scalp massage, or 50-minute Bali fusion massage. Once you’re completely relaxed make your way to Jaya for lunch or dinner to enjoy modern Asian cuisine, incorporating various traditional culinary techniques from wok stations to tandoor ovens. The indoor dining room is both inviting and sophisticated. Menu highlights include truffle dumplings, Japanese leaf salad, salmon sashimi, pad thai, chicken panang, filet mignon and various fresh seafood dishes. Looking for ocean views? Head to The Ocean Grill where the Miami Spice menu boasts yellowfin tuna, seafood risotto, and a lovely tiramisu.

So get those appointments and reservations made, because you’ve only got until the end of August to combine the two deals. But don’t be shy in making dinner reservations in September because Miami Spice continues until September 30th. Be sure to check out the Miami Spice website to see what restaurants are participating each day of the week and what their menus look like.
