The star-crossed Glen Mills location that housed two steakhouses now has an Italian restaurant.

Quietly opening last month was Angelina’s Italian Grill at the former locations of Mile High and Bardolino steakhouses on Baltimore Pike near the Route 202 intersection.

Steak is nowhere to be found on the menu of Angelina’s,  which focuses on Italian specialties. The restaurant reported on its Facebook page that due to heavy demand, reservations were no longer being taken for a   Feast of the Seven Fishes Christmas Eve dinner.

The restaurant is a BYOB establishment.

Angelina’s is located in a popular area that is near employers like State Farm, DuPont spin-off, and Axalta as well as Wegmans supermarket.

Mile High became well known for its two for one gift cards that were snapped up by residents, with sales of the cards perhaps running into the millions of dollars. The restaurant abruptly closed in 2016 and never reopened.

Bardolino reopened earlier this year as an Italian steakhouse, with a veteran Kennett Square restaurant owner named as one of the partners. The restaurant’s stint at the location was short-lived.

While the restaurant had no ties to the steakhouse, Bardolino did use its email list.

Towards the end of its lifespan, Bardolino offered discounts for those holding Mile High gift cards.
