The selfless act of donating blood has the potential to help save the lives of a significant number of patients that are suffering with different types of cancer.

With this thought in mind, the National Blood Transfusion Service is holding a blood donation session this Tuesday, the 23rd of October, in Gozo.

The service is calling on those Gozitans who are fit enough to do so, to give blood at the District Health Centre in Xewkija. The session will be 1:00pm to 5:00pm (last registration until 5:00pm).

The Centre is located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.

It is important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
