The Food Network has announced episode air dates for several Wilmington restaurants featured in "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" with Guy Fieri.

According to the show's website, Season 28 airing this month and throughout April will feature several of the Wilmington restaurants taped earlier this year.

In January, celebrity chef and TV host Guy Fieri visited the Port City for a fundraising event at the Girls Leadership Academy of Wilmington charter school. While in town, he was seen filming at six restaurants -- Cast Iron Kitchen, Ceviche's, Sweet n Savory, Something Fishy, Fork N Cork and Copper Penny.

Season 28 Episode 7, "Lights-out Latin," will air 9 p.m. Friday, March 30. The episode will showcase restaurants with Latin specialties including Ceviche's in Wrightsville Beach. According to the episode description, Fieri features restaurants in Miami, Tucson, Arizona and a restaurant in Wilmington described as "a funky joint cooking up the flavors of Panama."

In Episode 8, "Pizza, Pork and Peru," airing 9 p.m., Friday, April 6, Fieri heads to Copper Penny. According to the episode description, Fieri heads to Lansing, Michigan, for pizza, Tucson, Arizona, for Peruvian specialties and to Wilmington for "standout sandwiches (that) bring a taste of Philly to the South."

This episode will likely feature a crowd of Wilmington fans in front of the Copper Penny who gathered during filming with posters and T-shirts. Fieri decided to include the crowd in the opening shot -- something he told the crowd made Triple D history.

Airing at 9 p.m., Friday, April 27, Episode 9 "Seafood and Savory," will likely feature Something Fishy. The episode description states Fieri travels to Miami, Lansing, Michigan and Wilmington for, "a down-home Southern seafood spot cooking up clam chowder and frying up favorites."

No word yet on when the other restaurants filmed in Wilmington (Cast Iron Kitchen, Sweet n Savory and Fork N Cork) will air.
