The 26th Annual Taste of Troy fundraiser was held on Sunday to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Troy.
The event offered samples from 27 different local restaurants and a silent auction, along with an appearance from Andrew Humprhey, WDIV Channel 4 Meteorologist.
Local restaurants were judged in Critics’ Choice categories by a panel and voted on for the People’s Choice categories by the event’s attendees.
Critics’ Choice categories included: best appetizer/soup/salade, best casual entree, best entree, best dessert, best beverage and best display. The People’s Choice included the same categories.
The event was sponsored by Beaumont Health, PNC Bank, San Marino Club, HAP, Genisys Credit Union, The Troy Times and several other organizations.
Beaumont Health and PNC bank were both honored as major sponsors.
Plaques were also passed out to McCormick & Schick’s Seafood & Steaks and Picano’s Italian Grille for 15 years of participating in the event.
